See pipeline, performance and revenue together, not in separate reports.
Zoho CRM's built-in reports are a great start, and our beginner guide to CRM reports and dashboards covers them in detail. But sales leaders soon ask questions CRM reports struggle with: how win rates trend over a year, which lead sources produce the most revenue after invoicing, or how each rep compares across several measures at once. Zoho Analytics answers those by syncing CRM data and combining it with other sources. This guide shows when to move up, how to connect CRM and which dashboards to build. It is part of our Zoho Analytics guide.
Connect Zoho CRM to Zoho Analytics with the built-in connector, which syncs your modules and adds prebuilt sales dashboards. Then build dashboards for pipeline health, rep performance, win and loss analysis, forecast accuracy and revenue by source, and join CRM data with Zoho Books or marketing data to report on real, invoiced revenue as well as closed deals.
| Question | Zoho CRM reports | Zoho Analytics |
|---|---|---|
| Current pipeline by stage | Yes | Yes |
| Win rate trend over 12 months | Limited | Yes |
| Revenue by lead source, using invoiced amounts | No (CRM data only) | Yes (joins CRM and Zoho Books) |
| Rep scorecard across several metrics | Limited | Yes |
| Forecast accuracy over time | Limited | Yes |
| Combining CRM with ad spend or website data | No | Yes |
Keep using CRM reports and dashboards for daily work; see our tips for customizing your Zoho CRM dashboard. Add Zoho Analytics for trend, cross-source and management reporting.
In Zoho Analytics, create a workspace using the Zoho CRM connector.
Choose the modules to sync, such as Leads, Contacts, Accounts, Deals, Activities and custom modules.
Set the sync frequency; how often data refreshes depends on your plan.
Review the prebuilt sales reports and dashboards the connector adds.
Check a few numbers against CRM to confirm the sync is correct.
| Metric | What it tells you |
|---|---|
| Pipeline value and coverage | Whether there is enough pipeline to hit target |
| Win rate | How well opportunities convert, by rep, source or product |
| Average deal size | Whether deals are growing or shrinking |
| Sales cycle length | How long deals take, and where they stall |
| Stage conversion | Which stage loses the most deals |
| Forecast accuracy | How reliable the team's forecasts are |
| Activity to outcome | Which activities lead to wins |
Build these one at a time, starting with pipeline health. Each new dashboard should be reviewed in a real meeting for a few weeks before the next one is added.
Pipeline by stage and close month, coverage against target, deals with no activity in two weeks and deals pushed more than once.
Per rep: revenue against quota, win rate, average deal size, cycle length and activity volume, so managers coach on the right thing.
Win rate by lead source, industry and product, plus loss reasons over time, which shows where to focus and what to fix.
Forecast at the start of each month against actual closed revenue, by rep and team, to improve forecasting habits.
Lead source joined with invoiced revenue from Zoho Books, so marketing sees which channels produce paying customers as well as leads.
| Area | Widget or chart |
|---|---|
| Top row | Closed this month vs target, pipeline coverage, win rate (90 days), average cycle length |
| Middle | Pipeline by stage and close month, deals pushed this week |
| Lower | Rep scorecard, deals with no activity in 14 days |
| Filters | Team, product line, region |
Walk through the dashboard from top to bottom in the meeting: results first, then pipeline health, then individual deals that need attention.
Ask Zia lets managers ask questions such as which reps had the highest win rate last quarter without building a new report, and Zia's insights highlight unusual changes in pipeline or revenue. Inside CRM, Zia also scores leads and deals; see our Zia AI features guide.
Good forecasts combine three views: the team's own commit, weighted pipeline by stage probability, and historical conversion rates. Zoho Analytics can show all three side by side, so managers see where the rep forecast is optimistic or cautious. Tracking forecast accuracy each month builds better habits across the team.
Activity counts alone can mislead. Join activities with outcomes to see which activity types, such as demos or site visits, lead to wins, and at what stage. Coach reps on the activities that move deals, and avoid targets that reward volume over quality.
When lead source is captured consistently in CRM and joined with campaign data, marketing and sales can agree on one view of which channels produce pipeline and revenue. Review this monthly together, and adjust budgets toward channels that bring customers who buy and pay.
| Metric | Common mistake | Better approach |
|---|---|---|
| Win rate | Dividing wins by all deals, including open ones | Wins divided by wins plus losses in the period |
| Sales cycle | Using deal creation to today for open deals | Creation to close date for closed deals only |
| Pipeline coverage | Comparing pipeline to the full annual target | Open pipeline divided by remaining target for the period |
| Revenue by source | Using closed-won amounts | Using invoiced or paid amounts from Zoho Books |

Review them in the weekly sales meeting, so they become part of the routine.
Give reps a filtered view of their own numbers.
Schedule a weekly email summary for leadership.
Add revenue-by-source once Books data is joined and checked.
