WESK (Women Entrepreneurs of Saskatchewan) implemented a centralized Zoho One ecosystem to serve as the single source of truth for business listings, memberships, and website data. By integrating Zoho CRM with their WordPress/WooCommerce website, the organization streamlined data management, automated synchronization, and introduced controlled validation processes. Introduction

Since 1995, WESK (Women Entrepreneurs of Saskatchewan) has been supporting Saskatchewan’s entrepreneurial community by helping individuals start, grow, and scale their businesses. The organization serves a diverse membership including cis-women, trans women, non-binary individuals, and two-spirited individuals who are freelancers, small business owners, innovators, entrepreneurs, and changemakers.

Through funding, mentorship, advocacy, and partnerships, WESK provides programs and services such as one-on-one business advising, loans, mentorship opportunities, expert guidance, training resources, and networking events. These initiatives are designed to help members thrive while contributing to the growth of Saskatchewan’s business ecosystem.

The Business

WESK provides business consulting and mentoring services to its members. With 15 users actively using the system, the organization manages business listings, memberships, and transactions while maintaining a public-facing website that showcases directories and member information.

The Challenge

WESK needed to:

  • Eliminate manual duplication between website and backend systems
  • Ensure data accuracy and consistency across public-facing content
  • Centralize management of business listings, memberships, and transactions
  • Control publishing and validation of data before it appears publicly
  • Reduce dependency on website plugins for managing directories and member data
  • Implement a system where membership status directly controls access
Finding a Solution

The solution was to design and implement a Zoho One ecosystem with Zoho CRM at its core. The approach focused on:

  • Centralizing all key data (business listings, members, transactions) in CRM
  • Using CRM as the authoritative system for validation, approvals, and status management
  • Integrating WordPress/WooCommerce with Zoho CRM for bi-directional data synchronization
  • Shifting the website’s role to a presentation layer that dynamically reflects CRM-managed data

Additional integrations included:

  • WordPress website login and client profile synchronization with CRM
  • Syncing CRM business data to specific website pages
  • Ongoing integration with Thinkific SSO and the website
Implementation and Results

The implementation began on May 5, 2025, and is still in progress. Key components delivered include:

Business Listings / Directory Integration

  • CRM records synced to a public-facing directory
  • Listings published only after internal approval
  • Website filtering distinguishes between verified and non-verified listings

Dynamic Business Detail Pages

  • Each listing links to a dynamically generated page
  • Pages pull data directly from CRM records
  • Ensures real-time consistency with no duplicated content

Membership & Transaction Integration

  • WooCommerce membership purchases recorded in CRM
  • Each transaction creates a corresponding CRM record
  • CRM acts as the system of record for member 

Member Directory Migration

  • Member directory moved entirely from WooCommerce to CRM
  • Website directories fully driven by CRM synchronization
  • Enables centralized updates and easier data management

Login Validation & Access Control

  • User login validation based on CRM membership status
  • Access granted or restricted in real time
  • CRM becomes the driver of authentication and permissions
