There are so many Companies around the world that have need for some type of service. Thankfully with the world of the internet these requirements can be met without having to be physically there. You may be thinking that you don’t have any talents that would be in demand, or that anyone would be willing to pay for, but you just might be surprised. First, let’s look at some of the common tasks that a business of any size or even an individual may need some long distance help with.

Can you speak a second language?
Are you good at data entry?
Do you have an amazing talent for being able to describe products or services?
Are you a retired teacher?
Do you love to write?
Are you a fashion addict or a TV addict?
Are you good at researching?

All of these questions if you answer yes to, which are just a sample by the way, then you most likely have something that people need and are willing to pay for.

Translating

For example, businesses on the web have the opportunity to do business worldwide. There is only one thing stopping them and that’s a language barrier. If you approached some of these companies and offered to write their content in another language regarding a country that they could serve with their products, then they probably would jump at the chance.

Another example is many online businesses want to import goods from other countries but they cannot speak the language to be able to negotiate deals. This is where you come in, if you are able to speak that language.

Boost Other People’s Products

If you have a knack for really being able to describe a product then just go check out some e-commerce sites regarding products that you have a passion for. Check out their product descriptions. If there are none, or there are only a few lines then offer your services as a product description writer. They will probably jump at the chance.

Being Computer Savvy with Speed

No matter where a company is located in the world if they have need for data entry services, programing or even design you can do this for them right from the comfort of your own home. All it really takes is being computer savvy so you can access their programs and have enough typing speed to be effective at data entering.

So Where’s the Money In all of This?

You in some cases will get to set the price. Let’s say you are going to write product descriptions. You determine that about 350 words will get the job done per product. If you are a decent typist you should be able to type one description in five minutes. So, in a hour that means you can complete 12 descriptions. If you charged the client $3 per description which is a very reasonable rate you would be averaging about $36. per hour. Not bad money for working from home.

You need to put a value on your time when determining how much money to charge for any type of virtual service that you are going to be offering. Decide how long it will take you to do a task and what you feel is a fair price for your time.

Where Do You Begin?

Step One:

You start by first determining what it is that you have to offer. Think hard, but don’t be too hard on yourself. There is no doubt you are good at something that can help others without having to go to the workplace. If you are not sure then ask some of your friends and family what they think you are good at. They will give you some innovative ideals.

Step Two:

Look for the sources. Once you know that what it is you have to offer then start researching platforms where those that may need your type of service may look. Here are some examples….
Go to indeed.com and upload your resume for virtual services that you are offering.
Try listing your services on fiverr.com. Here parties look for help where they are willing to pay $5. but don’t let that fool you because the $5 refers to per service. So for example, if they are looking for someone to write then you could offer your services for $5 per 200 words. Or $5 for one product description. So the per service adds up.
Go to sites like upwork.com or freelancer.com. Here you get to check out jobs that clients have posted and are waiting for you to bid on them.
